Introduction

The international relations service (service des relations internationales) of your university can give you all the information you need about possible destinations, the preparation required and the sources of possible financial aid benefits.

Would you like to study abroad?

Students most often go abroad in their third or fourth year, but mobility is possible at any time during your university education. Teachers are also vital interlocutors for this subject. For a full description of mobility supports, see the sites of the a href="http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/cooperation/universitaire/boursiers/index.html" class="verdana11gris2vert" target="_blank">ministry of foreign affairs, EGIDE (French center for international exchanges), French educational system and youth information and documentation center (CIDJ). The SOCRATES programme, which includes the ERASMUS and COMENIUS programmes, is the primary means for studying abroad in Europe. You can study in any member country of the European Council. This choice is offered to you when you fill out your DSE. You can also apply for a mobility grant. These grants are intended to help students who were already candidates for a grant to complete their financial programme, in addition to other financial aid, in particular European, that already existed. You can research this further at your higher education establishment during the academic year.
